How to become a DJ
|
So you would like to share your music and your vocal talents with the listeners of FemDom Radio? Well below outlines the necessary requirements in order to do just that. We are looking for lively personalities and friendly voices to fill the airwaves to our valued listeners. If you wish to become a part of the FemDom Radio station crowd, please review the criteria and contact our station manager, Flayme at shira@femdomradio.com for more details.
- Respect. Period. A DJ whether T/they are a sub or Dom/me must always show respect for T/heir fellow staff members and our listeners. As W/we rely on O/our listeners to keep U/us here it is important that W/we offer them the same respect that W/we wish to have.
- Music. The genre of the music is varied, the only requirement is that ALL DJs must - and this is very VERY important, must comply with all station licensing agreements.
- Types of music that should not be played: Kids music! W/we are an alternative lifestyle station with adult listeners, therefore W/we stay away from any type of music that will encourage questionable motives or enticements.
- Tag Y/your music with Artist - Song. Make sure that all music is tagged correctly so that credit is given where credit is due.
- Only licensed music can be played on air. All of O/our playlists are recorded automatically by O/our broadcasting tools. These reports are sent in with O/our monthly reports therefore Y/you must make sure that Y/you are complying with station protocols or Y/you will be placed on hold until the music follows the licensing stricture.
- Wait period. W/we need to get to know Y/you. Please stop by O/our channel in IRC at www.collarme.com in #femdomradio. W/we would be happy to make Y/you feel at home there. After getting to know Y/you for a period of 2 weeks, then W/we would be happy to set up an interview to discuss DJing for the station.
- Open to the public. All DJs will be required to help promote and be accessible to O/our listeners in the different venues.
- DJs are required when on air to be on IRC at www.collarme.com T/they will have to be in #lobby as well as #femdomradio to help promote and offer advice and take requests for the station. This will help O/our listeners see that W/we are an open group that is there for our listeners.
- MUX. This is a BDSM game site where we have many listeners. Details will be given how to log into the site while DJing.
- Be signed in on the femdomradio yahoo ID so that listeners can make requests.
- A/all perspective DJs will be required to join the yahoo groups to get information and keep up to date on station business.
- Keep station business private. There is a time and a place for everything. If a DJ has an issue, T/they can go to the station staff, either: Milady Shayna, Malachi, or Flayme in private to discuss an issue. W/we require DJs to have yahoo instant messenger service so that W/we can discuss station business in a private setting.
- All DJs must have the current software and be able to broadcast in 2 hour shifts minimum. If Y/you need to have a replacement for Y/your shift, please contact Flayme if she is around or another station staff to let U/us know that Y/you cannot play. W/we do understand that accidents happen, life intrudes, and so please just inform U /us so W /we do not worry about Y /you.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email Shira at: shira@femdomradio.com. Thank Y/you for considering joining O/our merry band.
